    Description

      Hi,

I have an environment with ubuntu servers and some raspberry pi clients (running Raspbian = Debian 7.4) installed with puppet. This worked while my ubuntu servers where running ubuntu 12.04 and thus puppet 2.7.

Since I've upgraded my server to ubuntu 14.04 (which comes with puppet 3.3) and updated my manifests, the raspberry did not work with the server anymore, since Raspbian = Debian 7.4 comes with puppet 2.7, which does not support all functions of puppet 3.3.

I therefore tried to install the packages from puppetlabs.com on the raspberry, which failed. the facter package is not installable, since it depends on the package dmidecode, which is not available on the ARM architecture / Raspbian distribution.

      regards
