Description
While discussing with ethan and glenn.sarti about the recent bugs surrounding Unicode support (PUP-5726, PUP-5728, FACT-1341) it was decided that more research needed to be done around internationalization on Windows.
Questions that need research:
- How does language packs vs. native Windows localized builds differ?
- If we change the default external encoding for Ruby calls what does that affect?
- How can we best test Unicode support for Windows.
