Unmount dependencies give problems

In my companies filesystem there are a few parent and child mounts. Puppet autorequires the child mounts when using the native mount resource. When, however, I try to unmount these parent and child directories, puppet seems to be using the exact same order, which is causing errors since you can't unmount a parentmount without first unmounting the child mounts.

Is this intended or is there anyway to fix this problem?
