    Description

The last official docs on running Puppet from source were for Puppet 3.8. These are linked to from the Puppet repo's README.

Are there official docs for running Puppet from source for any newer versions of Puppet? Should there be? If so, what platforms should those docs cover?

Should these docs exist as part of the versioned Puppet documentation, or in the GitHub repo? Should the docs team own them as user-facing docs, or should Platform own them as developer docs?
