Release Notes:Deprecation
-
Release Notes Summary:The `puppet inspect` command is being deprecated in Puppet 4.10, along with the related `audit` resource metaparameter. The command will be removed and the `audit` param will be ignored in manifests in a future release (planned for Puppet 5).
-
QA Risk Assessment:No Action
This was added for one customer and is no longer used or supported in PE. We should deprecate it. Per Eric0:
Re: inspect/audit reports – no resistance, i put it out to sales, SE, support, PS and got no push-back. Please add it to the chopping block.
