      Description

      Dear support team,

When installing puppet 6 I noticed that the 'cron' resource type does nothing (no error messages and nothing happens when executing puppet agent.

When looking at the cron resource type documentation, I realized that since PUppt 6.0 this resource type seems to have been removed.

I did not see any message saying that this resource type is unsupported or depreciated, neither in the doc and neither when executing puppet.

I found a module called 'puppet/cron' that handles crontab entries. However, it doesn't work the same way. When adding a cronjob from 'puppet/cron' module, the crontab entries are not shown when executing 'crontab -l' as they have been put in /etc/cron.d instead of /var/spool/cron/ceontabs (this place may vary depending on the linux flavour)

Would it be possible to have a status about the native 'cron' resource type in Puppet 6 ?

      Thanks in advance
